Grades

This course aims to provide students with the ability to develop and utilize creative mapping techniques for understanding, evaluating and presenting complex urban environments. For this purpose, the students are required to select a study area that they will investigate in various dimensions of ‘lived space’. After the introduction of the theoretical background and discussions on creative mapping examples in art and architecture, students will present their initial mapping proposals which will be developed through class discussions and be evaluated in mid-term and final juries.

The weights at the final grading will be as follows:

-       Initial proposal & contribution to discussions   20%

-       Mid-term jury                                                  30%

-       Final jury                                                        50%
