Syllabus

Creative mapping, which has recently been being discussed and applied in many fields, provides a ground for innovative approaches in architecture. In the context of cities, mapping emerges as an agent for both the revelation and the re-conceptualisation of urban space. Considering also its role in determining the context and the concept, and thus in preparing for decision upon space, mapping inevitably emerges as ‘design’. In the scope of this course, students will probe ‘lived space’, and using creative mapping techniques they will present and propose various dimensions in urban space.
